Providing for the cross-border eSolutions and eServices may contribute to the increased competitiveness of a company, of the municipality, of the country, of an eRegion.
The small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to engage in a cross-border eCommerce by using latest eTechnologies in order to enter new markets and to support all trading e-transactions: inquiry, catalog, purchase order, order confirmation, delivery note, invoice, payment. This is in a line with the latest recommendations of the European Commission.
On a territory of eMunicipalities Without Borders, the SMEs are encouraged to open up cross-border eCommerce in close cooperation with national and local governments, chambers, eTechnology providers, educational institutions and other stakeholders in the participating countries.
The SME director can arrange with the municipality mayor to interlink the SME’s and the Municipality’s websites in English language in order to increase a visibility of the company in the Internet environment at no extra costs. On one hand, the eMunicipality can contribute to a visibility of the SMEs on its territory. On the other hand, the e-ready SMEs contribute to the higher visibility of the municipality.
We are looking for the answers to the following questions in the cross-border B2B environment:
– What are the major benefits/problems on the eCommerce buying side of the SMEs?
– What are the major benefits/problems on the eCommerce selling side of the SMEs?
– How are the innovative SME directors exploiting efficient and effective interlinking of the “e” solutions and services?
– How can the eTechnology providers in general, and eMarketplaces in particular, support the SMEs eCommerce development in the eRegions?
– What are the success factors of the eRegions interoperability?
– What are the best practices of support provided by the chambers of commerce, industry, craft?
– What can be learned from the related initiatives, portals, networks and associations?
– How can the prototyping of eSolutions and eServices in an open innovation environment accelerate the SMEs engagement in a cross-border eCommerce on the New eAmber Road and the New eSilk Road?
The questions will be discussed by the members of the panel Cross-border eCommerce of the SMEs in the eMunicipalities Without Borders of the 6th eRegions Conference 2016: Cross-border eSolutions & eServices Prototypes Development (Castle Jable on September 19-20, 2016).
