eEnterprise Slovenia

eEnterprise Slovenia

The eEnterprise Slovenia (Slovenia Incorporated) is a virtual organization bringing together Slovenes in Slovenia and other countries of the world sharing interest in eCollaboration. For the first time the idea has been proposed as an initiative Innovation for Life Quality – Slovenia Living Lab in July 2007.

It is open to similar virtual organizations in any cross-border (macro) eRegion engaging business, chambers of commerce and craft, national and local government, IT providers and academia. The organizations having interest are invited by the members of the Inter-Municipality Initiative: Cross-border eCollaboration in the Danube eRegion. The eEnterprise Slovenia will contribute to new and more efficient business and/or increased chances for more successful joint research and development project proposals. The actors of the eEnterprise Slovenia are encouraging small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to engage in a cross-border business using latest eTechnologies to support all e-transactions of a business process: inquiry, catalog, purchase order, order confirmation, delivery note, invoice, payment.

To the countries in Central, East and South Europe, the EU strategies for the Danube, the Adriatic and Ionian, and the Alpine region are very important. Interoperability of the eRegions is an opportunity for all countries involved. For example, interoperability with the Baltic Sea Region, or the eRegions on the New Silk Road.

The publications of Mohorjeva družba played a decisive role in the history of reading and literacy among the Slovene people. As a result of historical and political shifts, Mohorjeva družba partly relocated to Celje, an additional branch was established in Gorizia, Italy.
