A group of the municipalities has jointly developed a common eMunicipalities Without Borders Website in English language. It is allowing access to data on the organizations and activities in each municipality being of interest to business, visitors, and tourists. In the development process, three individuals in each municipality have engaged: the Mayor, the Municipality Administration Director, the Website Editor. They are members of the initiative Inter-Municipality Initiative: Cross-border eCollaboration in the eRegions .
The small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) on a territory of the municipality are encouraged to engage in a cross-border eBusiness using latest eTechnologies to support all e-transactions of a business process: inquiry, catalog, purchase order, ordrser confirmation, delivery note, invoice, payment.
On June 30, 2015, the eMunicipalities Without Borders Mayors Consortium was established (eMunicipality without borders, eComune senza confini, eGemeinde ohne Grenzen, eÖnkormányzat határok nélkül, eOpština bez granica, eObčina brez meja). The consortium is coordinated by Mag. Miha Ješe, Mayor, Municipality of Škofja Loka, Miha.Jese@SkofjaLoka.si . The Municipalities in the neighboring countries are invited to join the consortium.
In September 2015 the eMunicipality Without Bobers website prototype (eMunicipalities Without Borders Prototype Nov10 2015) has been presented at the eRegions Conference. Involved were the municipalities of Idria, Murska Sobota, Ribnica and Škofja Loka in Slovenia, Lenti in Hungary, and Udine in Italy.
On September 19, 2016 the current activities of the eMunicipalities Mayors Consortium will be presented and discussed on the panel eMunicipalities Without Borders Collaborating in the eRegion.
